The Cronulla Sharks website is buzzing with news of the male junior rep teams' performances over the weekend, with a mix of success and disappointment.
Just like a game of footy, there were highs and lows for the Sharks' young guns as they took on the Newcastle Knights.
In a reversal of fortunes from the previous round, the SG Ball side managed to snag a crucial win, while the Matthews Cup squad experienced their first defeat of the 2025 season.
It was a rollercoaster of emotions at the Sharks Stadium, with the young lads giving it their all on the field.
The Matthews Cup Sharks started off strong, racing to a 12-0 lead thanks to some slick moves from winger Brodie Johnson.
However, the Knights fought back, with Cooper Votano and Cody Baker finding the try line to level the scores at 12-all.
Just before the break, Thomas Beattie pulled off a stunning try, putting the Sharks ahead 16-12.
Despite their best efforts, the Matthews Cup Sharks couldn't hold onto their lead, eventually falling to the Knights by 30-22.
It was a tough loss, but the boys will no doubt bounce back stronger in the next game.
Meanwhile, the SG Ball Sharks had a solid performance, leading from start to finish and securing a 34-22 victory over their opponents.
Overall, it was a mixed bag of results for the Sharks junior rep teams, but they showed plenty of heart and determination on the field.
With the season still in its early stages, there's plenty of time for these young athletes to make their mark and show what they're made of.
So, watch this space as the Sharks continue to chase glory on the rugby league field.
