Young Sharks contracted players Nikora Williams and Riley Pollard have been selected to represent the Australian Schoolboys rugby league team in Papua New Guinea.
Williams, who played in the centres for the Sharks Matthews Cup team in 2023, will team up with Pollard, a highly rated half-five eighth, in the match against the Junior Kumuls at the Santos National Football Stadium in Port Moresby.
The men's and women's PM's XIII matches are scheduled to be played the day before.
Both players were chosen for the Australian Schoolboys squad based on their outstanding performances in the Australian Secondary Schools Rugby League 18 Years National Championships in Brisbane earlier this year.
Pollard, who previously played for the Panthers SG Ball team, was presented with the Emerging Talent Award at their 2023 presentation event.
Williams and Pollard will also be eligible to play for the Sharks SG Ball team in 2024.
