Junior Reps Wrap: Finals Loom For All Grades

LeagueNews.co | Cooper McEnroe

The Eels Junior Representative teams had a successful weekend with three wins out of four matches, putting them in contention for finals in every grade.

The Lisa Fiaola Cup side secured a top four finish after defeating the Steelers.

Despite a loss in the Tarsha Gale Cup, the Eels held onto fifth place and are guaranteed a finals spot.

The Harold Matthews Cup team caused an upset by beating the second placed Steelers, solidifying their eighth place standing and needing a win in the final round to secure a playoff spot.

The SG Ball side remained undefeated at the top of the table after defeating the Bears.

Bailey Ma-Chong's conversion gave the Eels a six nil lead at halftime, and their physicality in the waterlogged conditions eventually wore down the opposition.

The Eels are on track for a successful finals campaign in all grades as they head into the final round of the regular season.
