Judiciary drops the hammer on Titan's Verrills

Judiciary update: Sam Verrills

Gold Coast's hard-hitting hooker, Sam Verrills, has found himself in hot water after the Titans' recent showdown against the Rabbitohs.

In a move that left South Sydney's Richie Kennar feeling worse for wear, Verrills was placed on report in the 64th minute and charged with a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact offence.

But fear not, Titans fans, as there is a silver lining for Verrills.

Opting for the early guilty plea will only see him slugged with a $1,000 fine.

However, should he choose to take on the match review committee and come out on the losing end, he will have to cough up $1,500.

At this stage, Verrills has remained tight-lipped on his plea, keeping fans on their toes as they wait for the judiciary hearing.

So, will he play it safe and take the fine? Or will he roll the dice and risk a bigger penalty? Only time will tell in this game of rugby league justice.
