Mitchell Moses, the Parramatta Eels halfback, criticized the NRL's match review committee for their decision to suspend teammate Dylan Brown.
This condemnation follows Brown's collision with referee Gerard Sutton during the King's Birthday match against the Canterbury Bulldogs, which the Bulldogs won.
Interestingly, just a day later, Jarome Luai had a similar incident with a referee during the Wests Tigers' match against the Penrith Panthers but was not charged.
In contrast, Brown received a Grade 2 contrary conduct charge, leading to a one-match suspension, which he accepted with an early guilty plea.
Moses's remarks reflect concerns about perceived inconsistencies in disciplinary actions within the NRL.
