Jonah Pezet Weighs Storm Loan and Free Agency Options

Melbourne Storm halfback Jonah Pezet has expressed that while he prefers to stay at the club, he is considering all possibilities regarding his future. Following an impressive performance in the qualifying final against the Canterbury Bulldogs, where he played in place of Jahrome Hughes, speculation about Pezet's next steps has grown.

Pezet, regarded as one of the top juniors in rugby league, signed a long-term deal with the Storm last year. However, a clause in his contract now allows him to become a free agent after Hughes re-signed with the club. This development has fueled discussions around his future.

There are rumors circulating that Cameron Munster might move to the Perth Bears, potentially opening up the number six jersey for Pezet. However, this possibility remains uncertain. Additionally, there has been a suggestion that Pezet could be loaned to another club in 2026, similar to how Harry Grant was loaned to the Wests Tigers when he was behind Cameron Smith in the Storm lineup.

On NRL 360, Pezet mentioned that "all options are on the table," indicating his openness to various pathways for his career.
