Titans Forward Set for New Club in 2027

Gold Coast Titans prop Jaimin Jolliffe is ready to sign with the Huddersfield Giants, starting the 2027 season, marking the end of his NRL chapter.

As he nears the end of his contract this year, Jolliffe has yet to receive a renewal offer from the Titans, who are gradually improving under the leadership of coach Josh Hannay.

The Titans have struggled in recent years and have notably missed Jolliffe this season due to an ACL injury sustained during pre-season, which sidelined him before the games commenced.

His contract concludes at the end of 2026, making the timing of the injury unfortunate for a player who was a significant contributor in recent campaigns, even serving as a key element in Des Hasler's middle rotation before his dismissal.

With his contract expiring, Jolliffe has been able to engage with other NRL clubs since November 1, but interest has remained lukewarm. Reports suggest that the Huddersfield Giants are poised to become his next team, with Love Rugby League revealing a three-year proposal has been extended.

While a long-term commitment might be seen as risky for the English club, given Jolliffe's recent knee surgery, coach Jim Lenihan, familiar with Jolliffe from his time at the Titans, appears ready to take a chance on the prop.

Although the Titans express a desire to keep Jolliffe, they cannot match the duration or financial terms presented by Huddersfield.

In a conversation with SEN Radio, Jolliffe mentioned his preference to remain on the Gold Coast but acknowledged the difficulty of his current negotiating stance.

"I am trying to negotiate from not a great position," he said.
