Johns hints at Brown's move, Parramatta reacts

Parramatta Eels fans have been critical of Dylan Brown's performance after a disappointing 0-3 start to the season.

Signed to a lucrative deal with the Newcastle Knights, Brown has struggled to live up to his $13 million price tag, especially in the absence of Eels leader Mitchell Moses.

While there have been calls to drop Brown from the team, Matty Johns has a different suggestion.

He proposes moving Brown to the 13 position to take some pressure off him.

Johns believes that playing in the halves has been weighing heavily on Brown and that a switch to the 13 position could help him focus on running the football.

"How I would unlock it … If I'm (coach) Jason Ryles, I'm thinking about moving him into 13.

Just to then tie him to how he should play," Johns stated on Matty and Cronk.

"I just think at the moment with all the expectation and pressure, I think playing in the halves is weighing heavily on him.

It would be, 'Dylan, you're playing 13, just go out there and run the football.'"

This change in position could potentially give Brown a fresh perspective and the opportunity to play more freely without the burden of expectation as a half.

This move suggests a possible solution to help Brown regain his confidence and form.

While some fans and critics may question this decision, Johns' suggestion is based on his understanding of the game and what he believes could benefit Brown in the long run.

Whether or not this positional switch will happen remains to be seen, but it is an interesting proposal that could potentially turn things around for Brown and the Eels.
