In a surprising coaching switch-up, Manly Assistant Coach Jim Dymock will be at the helm for the Sea Eagles' opening match of the NRL Pre-Season Challenge in Gosford on February 17.
Reported by seaeagles.com.au, this move by Head Coach Anthony Seibold echoes last year's Pre-Season Challenge match against Souths, where he also gave Dymock the opportunity to hone his coaching abilities.
Seibold will now have the rare chance to observe the team's logistics from the coaches box to the sideline.
With $100,000 in prize money up for grabs, split evenly between clubs and players, the Pre-Season Challenge presents an exciting opportunity for teams to earn bonus points for tries, line breaks, and offloads.
It's worth noting that the Sea Eagles emerged victorious in the inaugural edition of this challenge last year.
Ahead of their match against the Sydney Roosters at Industree Group Stadium, we caught up with Jimmy to get his thoughts on their prospects.
Kick-off is at 3.45pm.
