Looking ahead, the Jillaroos are set to face New Zealand at Eden Park next Sunday, followed by a matchup against their long-standing rivals in the Pacific Championships final in Sydney the following week.
Making her debut for the Jillaroos, Southwell, who is bound for the Broncos, impressed with her performance. She developed a strong connection with Upton throughout the match.
Upton quickly made an impact, delivering a precise cut-out pass that led to Sergis's first try, which she followed up with another just nine minutes into the game after supporting co-captain Kezie Apps's line break.
