Jets cruise past Knights in season finale

In a dominant display, the Jets have emerged victorious in their final game of the NSW Cup season against the Knights, with a commanding 48-10 win.

However, their chances of qualifying for the upcoming Finals series may still be uncertain.

The Blacktown Workers' victory over the Bulldogs in another crucial last-round match has put the Jets in contention for a spot in the top five.

But their hopes now hinge on the first-placed Bears defeating the Raiders later in the day.

Following their impressive win over the Wests Magpies the previous weekend, the Jets continued to showcase their attacking prowess against the Knights.

Despite the Knights being out of Finals contention and having little motivation, the Jets displayed an enterprising style of football.

The Jets wasted no time in asserting their dominance, with Sam Stonestreet crossing the try line in the 14th minute.

Stonestreet's try came after Kayal Iro made a linebreak and ran 50 meters before offloading to Stonestreet, who evaded multiple defenders to score.

Iro made his presence felt once again as he found himself in a clear path to the try line just five minutes later.

Although the Jets missed the conversions, they still held an 8-0 lead.

The Jets continued their scoring spree in the second half, with Kyle Pickering capitalizing on good lead-up play from Daniel Atkinson to extend their lead to 14-0.

Niwhai Puru successfully converted the try.

Stonestreet secured his second try of the game, this time from a wide position.

Puru's successful conversion further solidified the Jets' lead at 20-0.

The Jets' victory showcased their attacking prowess and ability to capitalize on opportunities.

However, their chances of making it to the Finals series still hang in the balance, relying on other match results to determine their fate.
