Three years ago, Ipswich Jets playmaker Kyle Foxwell decided to take a step back from the intensity of rugby league.
It was a tough call, but with his 2020 season cut short by COVID-19, he needed time to recharge both physically and mentally.
When he eventually returned to the training paddock, Foxwell realized that he still wasn't quite ready for the demands of the game.
However, little did he know that this break would turn out to be the best decision he ever made.
Fast forward to 2022 and Foxwell was not only back in action but also named the Brisbane Rugby League player of the year.
Building on this success, he made his Hostplus Cup debut in 2023 with the Wynnum Manly Seagulls.
Now, as he gears up for the 2024 season with the Jets, Foxwell brings with him the invaluable experience gained from NRL pre-seasons at not one, but two clubs.
It's clear that he has worked hard to refine his skills and develop his understanding of the game.
With each passing year, Foxwell is proving himself to be a force to be reckoned with on the field.
The Ipswich Jets are undoubtedly thrilled to have him back in their ranks, and it's safe to say that Foxwell's return to rugby league has been nothing short of a triumph.
