The Newcastle Knights took on the Newtown Jets in a Round Seven match of The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup.

The game was part of a double-header on Friday afternoon, with the Knights hosting the Jets at McDonald Jones Stadium.

The first half was tightly contested, with the Knights struggling to break through the Jets' defense.

However, the Jets managed to take off in the second half and secure a victory.

The Bulldogs got off to a strong start in the match against the Rabbitohs, with some slick passing down the right edge leading to a try from Blake Wilson.

The home team followed up with another try from Blake Taaffe, who capitalised on a break from Drew Hutchison.

Taaffe converted his own try, putting the Bulldogs in the lead 10-0.

The Knights were determined to make their mark in the game, and they were able to do so in the second half.

They put pressure on the Jets' defense and were rewarded with a try from Zane Harris, who crashed over the line to score.

The Knights continued to push forward, with tries coming from Dylan Lucas and Jack Gibbins.

Harris also added a field goal to extend the Knights' lead.

The Jets managed to score a consolation try late in the game, but it was not enough to overcome the Knights' dominant second-half performance.

The Knights' coach was pleased with the team's effort and ability to capitalise on their opportunities in the second half.

He praised the players for their determination and resilience, and highlighted the importance of consistency in their performances.

The Newcastle Knights ultimately came out on top with a 25-14 victory over the Newtown Jets.

The win was a confidence booster for the Knights as they looked ahead to their next match in The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup.
