Titans' website, titans.com.au, has the latest on the nail-biting showdown between the Jets and the Bears in the Hostplus Cup.

The game saw an impressive display of strength from Gold Coast's Joe Stimson, who gave it his all but couldn't quite stop the Bears from coming out on top in Ipswich.

Stimson, a seasoned middle forward in just his second game for the Titans feeder club, put on a stellar performance earning himself the coveted players' player accolade.

With a whopping 32 tackles and 121 running metres to his name, Stimson truly left everything he had out on the field for a solid 80-minute effort.

Not to be outdone, Aaron Schoupp also made a mark by topping the running metres chart with an impressive 220 under his belt.

And let's not forget Ken Maumalo, who bulldozed his way to 148 metres, 73 of which were made post-contact.

In the end, it was a valiant effort from the Jets but they unfortunately fell just short of a triumph against the Bears.

But with players like Stimson, Schoupp, and Maumalo showing their mettle on the field, the future looks bright for the Gold Coast feeder club.
