The current injury toll on the Cronulla Sharks has had a significant impact on the Newtown Jets, causing them to slip outside the top five on the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup ladder.

To reignite their hopes of making it to the Finals, the Jets must secure a win against the Raiders on Saturday.

Despite putting up a good fight in their recent game against Souths, the Jets ultimately suffered a loss, leaving them in sixth place on the ladder.

This makes their upcoming match against the seventh-placed Canberra team crucial in their quest to climb back into contention for the Finals.

Due to the injuries plaguing the Cronulla NRL squad, the Jets have once again included several players eligible for the Sharks Jersey Flegg team.

However, they will be led by the highly capable Jayden Berrell, who managed to score two tries in their previous match against the Rabbitohs.

The Jets will face the Raiders at Henson Park on Saturday, with the game scheduled to kick off at 3.00pm.

The team's lineup includes Daniel Atkinson as the first player.
