With a humble and hard-working attitude, Jess was recently awarded the prestigious 2023 Andrew Ettingshausen Club Person of the Year for her significant contributions to the football program.
As the Sharks gear up for a showdown with the Rabbitohs this Saturday night, Sharks Media caught up with Jess to delve into the nitty-gritty of her crucial role as an NRL sport scientist.
Reflecting on her journey into the sporting industry, Jess revealed her passion for sport from a young age, searching for her place in the competitive world.
Initially setting her sights on sports law, fate intervened when she discovered the exhilarating realm of sport science, leading her to intern with various institutions and clubs before finding her home at the Sharks in 2016.
Returning to her roots in the 2023 season as the Manager of Sport Science and Innovation, Jess couldn't be happier with her role at the club.
She expressed her gratitude for the welcoming and inclusive environment fostered by key figures like Fitz, Moons, and Pickles, who have created a tight-knit group where trust and camaraderie reign supreme.
