Jayden Campbell Drawing Attention from New Club

A week after announcing that he would pause contract negotiations, Gold Coast Titans star Jayden Campbell has caught the attention of another club as he gears up to enter the open market in November.

The son of legendary Indigenous rugby league player Preston Campbell, Jayden has secured the halfback position this season, having previously played various roles, including fullback and as a utility off the bench.

However, his tenure at the Titans may be nearing an end sooner than anticipated, with several rival teams and the NRL's two newest expansion teams vying to lure him away from the sunny Gold Coast.

Recently, it was revealed that Campbell has halted extension discussions with the Titans, making him the latest player associated with the Perth Bears. The Bears are in the process of constructing their inaugural roster ahead of their entry into the NRL for the 2027 season, as mentioned by Brent Read on Triple M's NRL Daily.

Reports indicate that the Bears are also interested in acquiring Brisbane Broncos center Gehamat Shibasaki, Cronulla Sharks captain Cameron McInnes, and Melbourne Storm players Cameron Munster and Harry Grant in recent weeks.

"I've thought about that [future] but at the same time I just want to play good football here," Campbell stated last week.
