South Sydney Rabbitohs coach Jason Demetriou is holding his ground after a devastating defeat that left his team reeling.

The Roosters ran circles around the struggling club with a 48-6 victory, marking one of their biggest wins in the historic 116-year rivalry between the two teams.

This loss has pushed the Rabbitohs to the bottom of the ladder for the first time in over a decade, putting them in a tough spot as they fight for a spot in the finals in 2024.

With a string of 12 losses in their last 16 games and a five-game losing streak, the pressure is mounting on Demetriou in his third year as head coach.

Despite the tough situation, Demetriou remains confident that he is the right man for the job.

As they say in the game of Rugby League, it's all about staying resilient in the face of adversity.

The coach knows that it's not always smooth sailing in this sport, but he's determined to lead his team through this rough patch and come out stronger on the other side.
