In a move that is sure to please Roosters fans and strike fear into the hearts of their opponents, James Tedesco, the captain of the Sydney Roosters, has secured his future by signing a new deal.

This latest contract may very well be his swan song before he hangs up his boots for good.

At the ripe age of 31, Tedesco will be heading into his 14th NRL season, with a solid eight seasons under his belt with the Roosters.

As he approaches the twilight of his playing days, the former captain of the Australian Kangaroos and NSW Blues has demonstrated time and time again that he is a force to be reckoned with on the field.

Despite being overlooked in favor of Dylan Edwards for the Penrith Panthers this year, Tedesco showed his class by putting up impressive statistics.

With 17 tries, 24 try assists, 162 tackle busts, and 24 line breaks to his name, he proved that he still has plenty left in the tank.

Averaging close to 200 running meters per game, Tedesco's impact on the field is undeniable.

After narrowly missing out on the coveted 2024 Dally M Medal, Tedesco has decided to extend his stay with the Roosters for another year.

This commitment will see him don the red, white, and blue jersey until the end of the 2026 season, ensuring that his legacy in the game of Rugby League continues to grow.
