Canterbury Bulldogs second-rower, Jaeman Salmon, finds himself in hot water after being charged with dangerous contact by the NRL's match review committee.

The incident occurred during a crucial moment in the game, with Salmon making a late shot on Te Maire Martin.

The on-field officials and the bunker missed the incident, leading to no penalty being given at the time.

This ultimately resulted in a one-point victory for the Bulldogs, thanks to a Matt Burton field goal in golden point.

The tackle, which took place in the 74th minute, could have potentially cost the Bulldogs the game if the Warriors had been awarded a penalty goal.

However, due to the non-call, the game went into golden point, leading to a nail-biting finish.

Jaeman Salmon now faces a Grade 2 dangerous contact charge, with potential suspension looming over him.

This is his second offence on his record, meaning he will have to sit out for two matches with an early guilty plea, or risk a three-match suspension if he decides to fight it at the judiciary and loses.

In addition to Salmon's charge, the match review committee has also handed out fines to six other players for various infractions.
