Jack Wighton's injury woes have thrown a spanner in the works for the Rabbitohs, who are off to a shaky start in the NRL season.
The high-profile recruit, who has only made one appearance for Souths, could be facing time on the sidelines due to a thigh injury suffered during his debut game.
Despite his biting suspension from his time at Canberra last year, Wighton's addition to the Rabbitohs line-up failed to lift the team as they were handed a hefty 48-6 defeat by the Roosters.
Now, just one game into his stint with Souths, the 31-year-old centre is already nursing an injury.
Fans witnessed Wighton limping towards the end of the Roosters match, looking worse for wear.
A closer inspection revealed heavy strapping on his thigh during training on Monday.
Alongside him, captain Cameron Murray was also dealing with a knee issue, but both players are reportedly in contention for the upcoming clash against the Bulldogs on Good Friday.
The Rabbitohs will be hoping for a swift recovery from Wighton, as they look to turn their season around and avoid falling further into a losing streak.
The pressure is on for the team to bounce back and show their fighting spirit in the face of adversity.
