Is Hastings crossing the pond once more?

Jackson Hastings, the out-of-favour halfback for the Newcastle Knights, is reportedly linked with a move back to the English Super League.

According to zerotackle.com, Hastings has not played at the NRL level this season and is off-contract at the end of the year, suggesting he will leave the Knights, either sooner or in November.

His diminishing role under coach Adam O'Brien has led to speculation about his future.

Recent reports from Love Rugby League indicate that Hastings is considered a strong candidate for Leeds, especially after Leeds coach Brad Arthur made the decision to drop Matt Frawley from the lineup for their latest match.

The Yorkshire Evening Post suggests that Leeds might be willing to allow Frawley to exit immediately, which would open up a roster and quota spot.

This change could facilitate an expedited move for Hastings to join Leeds sooner than the previously anticipated timeline of 2026.
