Bulldogs halfback Lachlan Galvin is set to play despite being a significant doubt for Saturday's crucial top-four clash against the Warriors due to hand and ankle issues.

Galvin reportedly sustained a hand injury early in last week's intense match against his former team, the Wests Tigers, but managed to continue playing through the discomfort. If he cannot play, Mitchell Woods and Toby Sexton are on standby from the extended bench.

"I haven't spoken to him, but if he did (get injured early) then that's a credit to him," said teammate Josh Curran. "We always talk about grit and playing with niggles or injuries, so if he did that early in the game then full credit to him. We really value him."

The Bulldogs are set to face a Warriors squad that is welcoming back Chanel Harris-Tavita in the halves. Additionally, captain James Fisher-Harris may make an early return, as he has been included in the reserves.

The experiment of placing Tom Trbojevic in the centre seems to have been abandoned, as the former Dally M winner has returned to the fullback position, replacing Lehi Hopoate, who is dealing with an AC joint injury. Tommy Talau will start in the centres, and Michael Chee Kam is set to play his first NRL game of the season in the back row.
