Horror Blow for Battling Bulldogs as Galvin Sent for Scans

Canterbury Bulldogs halfback Lachlan Galvin's participation in the upcoming weeks is uncertain as he awaits results from scans concerning a hand and ankle injury.

This news follows the Bulldogs' loss to Galvin's former club on Sunday afternoon at Parramatta. Reports suggest that Galvin is expected to miss between two and three weeks, but the exact timeline can only be determined once the scan results are received.

While no serious injury has been identified after the game, Galvin reportedly felt soreness and has been sent for further evaluation, according to News Corp.

Galvin, who transferred mid-season from the Tigers to join the Bulldogs, has yet to find his form in his new environment. The blue and white team is clinging to a slim chance of achieving a minor premiership or securing a home qualifying final as the season nears its end.

His likely absence for the critical top-four matchup against the New Zealand Warriors may result in Toby Sexton stepping back into the halfback position, reuniting with five-eighth Matt Burton. This duo had previously been instrumental in the Bulldogs' success during the first half of the season before discussions about Galvin's signing surfaced.
