In a last-minute shake-up ahead of the match, Adam Cook stepped in to replace Ethan Strange as the Raiders faced off on Sunday.
Coach Ricky Stuart has shed light on Strange's sudden absence, as well as a forward's shoulder injury during the game.
As the Raiders hit the field on Sunday afternoon, fans couldn't help but notice Strange's absence, with the young gun being a key player in every match this season but finding himself on 18th man duties this time around.
Nevertheless, Stuart has reassured supporters that Strange will be back in action next week against the Manly Sea Eagles on Saturday.
The coach explained that Strange was granted three days off to rest up and provide support to the younger players on the team as they navigate the tough demands of the NRL.
"I know how to take care of the young blokes.
I've had a chat with him over the past month and told him, 'Mate, you need a breather, just give me a shout when you need it the most,'" Stuart revealed in his post-match debrief.
