Injuries Hit Bulldogs Ahead of NRL Finals

As the 2025 NRL Finals approach, the Canterbury Bulldogs face a major setback with two key players ruled out of the upcoming match against the Melbourne Storm.

First-grade regulars Harry Hayes and Jacob Kiraz were already sidelined, but now the Bulldogs will also be missing centre Bronson Xerri, who sustained a concussion during the game.

Xerri is set to follow the NRL's mandatory concussion protocols, making him ineligible for the next match.

In addition, winger Marcelo Montoya has suffered an ankle injury and is awaiting scans to assess its extent.

Head coach Cameron Ciraldo expressed concerns about Montoya's condition, stating, "Not looking great for Marcelo...will get a scan tonight. He's in a fair bit of pain."

The team may turn to departing player Blake Wilson and rookie Jethro Rinakama to fill the gaps left by the injured players, while Enari Tuala is expected to move back into the centres.
