The 2025 Junior Reps season is set to kick off this weekend, with the Illawarra Steelers' young guns ready to make their mark as they continue their footy journey.

The Steelers will be fielding teams in the SG Ball Cup, Tarsha Gale Cup, Harold Matthews Cup, and Lisa Fiaola Cup this year.

All four grades will be in action at Collegians this Saturday, with the women's teams squaring off against the Dragons in some good old-fashioned club derbies, while the men's sides will be taking on Melbourne.

Some of the Steelers' key players from last season will be back in action for 2025, including Kade Reed, Aaymon Fitzgibbon, and Tom Kirk, who have been putting in the hard yards during preseason training with the NRL squad.

Firebrand forward Leeroy Weatherall, who impressed in his SG Ball debut in the finals against Newcastle, will also be joining the squad after training with the NRL team.

The likes of Lucas Borg, Drew Langdon, Zane Timmins, and Charlie Heidke will also be returning to the team after a solid run with the side last year.

It's set to be an exciting season for the Steelers, as they look to show their mettle on the footy field and make their mark in the world of Rugby League.
