The NZ Warriors have announced that forward Eddie Ieremia-Toeava has been elevated to the club's top 30 NRL squad and has received a contract extension until the end of the 2028 season, following an impressive 2025 season.
This upgrade serves as both a birthday and Christmas gift for the young athlete, who recently turned 21. Ieremia-Toeava, who was signed on a development contract a year ago, has now filled the vacancy in the NRL roster left by hooker Freddy Lussick.
This successful season culminated in his first-grade debut as Warrior #294, during which he made five appearances and scored his first NRL try in an away match against the Titans. Additionally, he played a significant role in leading the NZ Warriors to victory in the New South Wales Cup minor premiership, along with celebrating historic back-to-back titles in the NSW Cup grand final and the NRL State Premiership within a single week.
After debuting against the Dolphins in round 22, Ieremia-Toeava went on to participate in matches against St George Illawarra, Gold Coast, Parramatta, and Manly Warringah, all from the bench.
