In the rugby league world, it's not often that someone as seasoned as Greg Inglis gets nervous, but the Harvey Norman All Stars game in Rotorua was no ordinary occasion.

Given the prestigious honor of presenting the Preston Campbell Medal, Inglis couldn't help but feel the weight of the responsibility.

As he stood there, trembling with anticipation, he couldn't shake off the nerves.

So, in true Aussie fashion, he did what any good sportsman would do - he picked up the phone and dialed his mum.

Seeking reassurance and words of wisdom, Inglis knew that his mum's support would calm his jangling nerves.

After all, it's not every day that you step into the shoes of a legend like Preston Campbell.

With 263 NRL games under his belt and a lengthy list of representative honors, Inglis knew the importance of the occasion and wanted to make sure he honored his "little mate" in the best possible way.
