Dragons captain Ben Hunt has been selected for the Kangaroos' 21-man squad for the Pacific Championships.

The tournament will begin in less than two weeks in Townsville.

Hunt, who is 33 years old, will aim to add to his twelve international caps when the Kangaroos face Samoa in the opening match on October 14th.

After a week off, they will then take on the Kiwis at AAMI Park.

Two victories in these matches will secure their place in the Pacific Championships Final in Hamilton on November 4th.

Hunt made his international debut in 2014, scoring a try off the bench against England in the Four Nations.

He then participated in five of the Kangaroos' six matches in the 2017 World Cup, including their triumph in the final.

In this season, Hunt has made 22 appearances for the Dragons, scoring eight tries and assisting on 19.
