Hunt Eyeing Huge Goal Ahead of 2026
Ben Hunt is focused on achieving another premiership, despite speculation about a possible retirement in the near future.
At 35, he is under contract with the Brisbane Broncos until the end of next year. However, during the club's pre-season camp in Toowoomba, Hunt suggested that retirement is not a certainty, leaving the possibility open for either an extension or a last career move.
"I'll always put my hand up unless I believe I'm not up to the standard," Hunt shared with Nine.
"As long as I'm playing good footy and the coach has belief in me, I'll keep playing."
Having returned to Brisbane to overcome the disappointment of the 2015 Grand Final, Hunt played a pivotal role in the Broncos' 2025 premiership success. He maintains that his desire for more championships is strong.
"You always want another one, it's what you play the game for," he expressed. "I'm over the moon and super proud that I got one, but another one would be nice."
