In 2026, Hull KR will welcome NRL Premiers Brisbane Broncos as the Betfred World Club Challenge makes its much-anticipated return after a one-year hiatus.

According to skysports.com, Hull KR concluded a historic 2025 season as Super League champions for the first time and will now compete against the NRL Grand Final winners to claim global supremacy in this annual showdown on February 19.

This match will be hosted at MKM Stadium, marking the inaugural occasion that Hull hosts the Betfred World Club Challenge.

Additionally, this event will see Hull KR take on Australian opposition for the first time in four decades, as both the Robins and Broncos vie for the title of the world's best rugby league club.

The exciting 'Clash of the Champions' will feature Hull KR stars like Mikey Lewis, Jez Litten, and Elliot Minchella competing against top talents from Queensland, including Australian internationals Reece Walsh and Pat Carrigan.

Hull KR chief executive Paul Lakin expressed his enthusiasm, stating: "With offers from around the world to host the game, we are delighted to bring the World Club Challenge home to Hull, allowing supporters, not just from the city but the whole region and beyond, the opportunity to see the world's two best rugby league sides go head-to-head."
