Hull Kingston Rovers (Hull KR) have signed 24-year-old Mikaele Salabio Amone and 28-year-old Mathieu Dezaria for the 2026 season, as reported by BBC Sport.

Salabio, who made his Super League debut for Catalans Dragons in 2022, joins from Hull FC with a two-week recall option.

On the other hand, Dezaria, who has made 75 appearances in the Super League for Catalans Dragons, comes to Hull KR from Catalans.

The two new signings will be part of the 21-man squad led by coach Tony McGuire for their upcoming Easter trip to face Wakefield.

The news of Amone and Dezaria's signings comes after Castleford Tigers suffered a defeat at the hands of Leigh Leopards, leaving them with just two points from their first seven Super League matches.

This indicates a need for fresh talent and depth in the squad, which the new signings aim to provide.

According to the report, Salabio is eager to make an impact at his new club after his time at Hull FC: "I'm excited to join Hull KR and I can't wait to get out there and start playing.

I am grateful for the opportunity and I hope to contribute to the team's success." Similarly, Dezaria expressed his enthusiasm about joining Hull KR and his ambitions for the upcoming season: "I am looking forward to stepping onto the field with my new teammates and working hard to achieve the goals.

I am determined to give my best for the club and help them progress in the Super League."

The addition of Salabio and Dezaria to the Hull KR squad brings fresh talent and experience, with both players having previous Super League experience that can benefit the team.

McGuire will be looking to integrate them quickly into the squad to improve their performances and results in the league.

With the Easter trip to face Wakefield approaching, the new signings will have an early opportunity to showcase their skills and make an impact for their new club.
