JWH signs off in style as Hull KR set sights on Vegas

Having accomplished their mission on home turf, Hull KR now shift their focus to Las Vegas, aiming to make history at Allegiant Stadium next February.

Under the guidance of Australian coach Willie Peters and with former Rooster Jared Waerea-Hargreaves leading the team in his final match, the Robins showcased their talent by defeating the formidable Wigan in the Super League grand final, clinching a 24-6 victory at Old Trafford.

In a decisive performance, Hull KR scored four tries compared to Wigan's single attempt, adding the Super League title to their earlier achievements of the Challenge Cup and League Leaders Shield this season.

With just 138 days until they face Leeds in the Rugby League Las Vegas 2026, Hull KR will enter the contest riding high on the successful year under Peters' leadership.

Peters, at 46 years old, has solidified his status as a leading strategist in the sport and is set to join Kevin Walters' coaching team for the forthcoming Ashes series. His deep understanding of the England players will be a crucial advantage.

In his debut year as head coach in 2023, Peters led Hull KR to the Challenge Cup, where they narrowly lost to Leigh in a golden point thriller. The following year saw them reach the Super League grand final, but they fell to Wigan, who triumphed thanks to a stellar performance from Bevan French, ending the match 9-2 at Old Trafford.
