In a move reminiscent of a half-time substitution, Hull FC has brought in newly retired former England and Ireland half-back Richie Myler as their new director of rugby.
The 33-year-old decided to hang up his boots after battling a pesky elbow injury during his time with York.
Myler will now be in charge of driving the on-field performance of both the senior and academy squads, while also taking the reins on player recruitment and coaching staff decisions.
A crucial task on his to-do list will be finding a new head coach following the departure of the previous one.
The Black and Whites haven't had the best start to the season, only managing to secure one victory so far and allowing a whopping 252 points in seven Super League matches.
Their early exit from the Challenge Cup in the sixth round added insult to injury.
With Richie Myler at the helm, Hull FC will be hoping to turn their fortunes around and start playing like a well-oiled machine on the field.
Here's to hoping that this new addition will bring some much-needed firepower to the squad.
