Melbourne Storm fans are eagerly anticipating the return of their star halfback, Jahrome Hughes, following a disappointing 40-10 loss to the Sydney Roosters on Friday night.
Hughes has been out of action since last month due to a severe shoulder injury that raised concerns about his season being over.
Fortunately, the Dally M winner has made a strong recovery and is expected to make his comeback next week.
"He will need to get through a little bit," Bellamy said after his side's defeat on Friday.
"He has been out for a while. It is going to be hard for him with his game back, but he prefers coming back a week before the finals rather than coming back in a finals game."
Bellamy acknowledged that Hughes is eager to return and plans to play for the Storm, unless a medical professional advises otherwise.
