Jahrome Hughes "slight chance" to boost Storm's grand final push
As the Melbourne Storm stands just eighty minutes away from competing in consecutive NRL Grand Finals, they may receive a significant boost before their preliminary final match.
Following their victory over the Canterbury Bulldogs, which marked the start of the 2025 NRL Finals series, Storm halfback and 2024 Dally M Medal winner Jahrome Hughes is now considered a "slight chance" to return to play in two weeks.
After sustaining a fractured forearm last week, there were concerns that Hughes might be sidelined for the rest of the season. However, recent updates suggest that he could make an unexpected comeback.
"The medical team's given me a slight chance," the Storm halfback mentioned during an interview on Channel Nine.
"I'm holding on to a very little bit of a chance and we'll see how we go.
"It wasn't ideal breaking my forearm in my first game back but the medical team have given me a slight chance to play the prelim and even the grand final.
"I'll be doing everything I can to get back out there."
