Jahrome Hughes, the star halfback for the Melbourne Storm, is facing a potential season-ending injury after a significant incident during Thursday night's match against the Sydney Roosters.
Minutes into the second half, Hughes left the game, visibly in pain and clutching his shoulder.
Fox League's Jake Duke reported that the club confirmed Hughes had a dislocated shoulder and that he was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
Duke stated, "They can't get that shoulder back into place, so they're calling an ambulance and he'll be taken to hospital."
According to NRL Physio, Hughes is expected to be sidelined for three to six weeks if the damage is minimal.
However, if the injury is more severe, his recovery could extend to over three months.
The Storm is anxiously awaiting updates on his condition as they navigate this challenging situation.
