Powerhouse centre Mele Hufanga has joined fellow Brisbane Broncos premiership winner Gayle Broughton by signing with the NZ Warriors for the 2026 NRLW season, according to warriors.kiwi.
Just three days after announcing Broughton's two-year contract, the Warriors have secured Hufanga, 30, for two years, which includes a mutual option for a third season in 2028.
This announcement comes on the heels of Hufanga's impressive performance in the Broncos' 22-18 victory, where she earned the Karyn Murphy Medal as player of the match.
The former Tonga rugby union international has excelled since transitioning to rugby league, finishing her time with Brisbane with 25 tries in 33 appearances over three seasons.
