Sharks leaders, Dale Finucane, Nicho Hynes, Emma Tonegato, Tiana Penitani, and Jada Taylor, recently had the opportunity to expand their knowledge and learn from some of the sporting greats at the Rugby League Players' Association's annual Leaders In League conference.
The event, which took place at the Novotel in Brighton-Le-Sands, brought together 70 influential current and emerging player leaders for two days of intensive workshops and guest speaker sessions.
One of the highlights was hearing from AFL legend Joel Selwood, a true champion with multiple premiership wins to his name.
The conference also featured a panel of exceptional female athletes, including Sydney Swans AFLW co-captain Chloe Molloy, NSW Swifts netballer Maddy Proud, and former Matildas player Ellie Brush.
The participants had the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge on performance and personal growth, with performance coach Dan Haesler running an interactive session and former professional surfer Cooper Chapman focusing on mental health.
Dale Finucane, who is not only a Sharks forward but also a member of the RLPA Player Advisory Group, found the event to be incredibly insightful, taking away valuable lessons that will undoubtedly benefit him both professionally and personally.
Overall, the conference was an excellent opportunity for these Sharks leaders to enhance their skills and learn from some of the best in the sporting world.
