Gallagher Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga has announced his 21-man squad for the upcoming 2023 Pacific Championships, set to commence on October 14.
The squad comprises of four debutants and eight players who were part of the grand final.
According to weststigers.com.au, the Rookie Broncos trio Selwyn Cobbo, Thomas Flegler, and Kotoni Staggs will be making their first appearance for the Kangaroos, joining their teammates Payne Haas and Patrick Carrigan.
Additionally, three-time premiership-winners Nathan Cleary, Isaah Yeo, and Liam Martin have made it into the squad once again.
These three players were part of the successful Kangaroos' World Cup triumph last year.
Another debutant in the squad is Dolphins fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, who previously played as a centre for Queensland in their victorious Origin series earlier this year.
James Tedesco will continue to lead the team as captain, partnering with Roosters teammate Lindsay Collins.
It is expected that Dragons captain Ben Hunt will share the hooking role with Storm rake Harry Grant, just as they did in the previous World Cup campaign.
Meninga expressed his satisfaction with the squad, noting that it consists of a good blend of established players and those who have excelled for their clubs and states in the current season.
