In a classic case of switching teams for a shot at glory, an up-and-coming hooker has decided to ditch the Gold Coast Titans and make a move to another NRL club for the upcoming 2025 season.

According to the folks over at Zero Tackle, Vaka Sikahele has packed his bags and joined the Melbourne Storm after spending the last couple of seasons on a train and trial contract with the Titans.

Making the leap to the Storm, Sikahele has snagged himself a train and trial deal with the club and will also be making the switch from the Tweed Seagulls to the Brisbane Tigers - the feeder team of the Melbourne Storm - in the QLD Cup competition.

Having previously played for the Burleigh Bears, the 23-year-old had a solid season, racking up 448 tackles with an impressive 90.9 percent tackle efficiency.

Not to mention, he also chipped in with one try assist and two line-break assists.

It's a fresh start for Sikahele as he looks to make his mark with his new club, testing his mettle in the rough and tumble world of the NRL.

Here's hoping he can rise to the challenge and show the Storm what he's made of on the field.

Time will tell if this move pays off for the young hooker, but one thing's for sure - he's ready to tackle whatever comes his way with gusto.
