Premiership-winning prop James Fisher-Harris has been named as the new captain of the New Zealand Kiwis for their upcoming Pacific Championships campaign\.
The announcement was made on Saturday night in Auckland, with the full Kiwis and Kiwis 'A' squads in attendance, along with past New Zealand captains Ruben Wiki, Stephen Kearney, Adam Blair, and Nathan Cayless\.
At 27 years old, Fisher-Harris has already made a significant impact in the rugby league world, having played in 180 NRL matches since his debut with the Penrith Panthers in 2016\.
He now takes over the captaincy from veteran Kiwi Jesse Bromwich, who has retired from international competition\.

His experience and leadership qualities have clearly been recognized by the coaching staff and his teammates, making him the ideal choice for the role\.
The upcoming Test against Samoa will provide Fisher-Harris with another opportunity to showcase his leadership abilities and guide the Kiwis to victory\.
It will be an important test for the team as they begin their Pacific Championships campaign, and having a strong and capable captain like Fisher-Harris will undoubtedly boost their chances of success\.
As the new captain, Fisher-Harris will not only be responsible for leading the team on the field but also representing the Kiwis off the field and upholding the values and traditions of New Zealand rugby league\.
His appointment marks a new era for the Kiwis, and fans will be eager to see how Fisher-Harris leads the team to future triumphs.
