Hoeter Extends Broncos Contract for Fifth Year

Brisbane Broncos outside back Delouise Hoeter has announced that he will continue with the club for another year, marking a five-year tenure at Red Hill.

Although Hoeter has primarily been on the periphery of the NRL lineup, having played only one game in 2025 during a Round 18 victory against the Canterbury Bulldogs, where he scored a try, he's accustomed to working hard to secure his place in matches.

After making his debut and appearing in seven games for the Wests Tigers in 2015, he received a second chance in 2022 with the Brisbane Broncos. That year, he played seven matches under coach Kevin Walters, scoring his first four NRL tries. Since then, he participated in just one game in 2023 and none in 2024.

While the centre and winger may find it challenging to break into the first-grade team, he serves as a valuable depth option. He has proven himself as a strong player in reserve grade and has managed to overcome numerous injuries throughout his career.

"I think the camaraderie and the connection I have with the team has been amazing, I can't fault how they've included me all the way through this time," Hoeter expressed regarding his extension for 2026.

"At the start of the year, we spoke about creating a legacy, and that's something I want to be a part of; it's not just a one-off thing."
