Hippi shakes nerves to deliver for her mob on debut

For a teenager making her NRLW debut, being asked to switch from centre to fullback to fill in for a star player could seem intimidating.

However, Titans development player and proud Indigenous woman Phoenix-Raine Hippi embraced this challenge with enthusiasm.

When Jaime Chapman left the field due to an ankle injury with 50 minutes gone, the undefeated Roosters were in control, placing Hippi in a tough spot as she transitioned to fullback.

Yet, the encouragement from her family-along with her own self-belief-made sure that the last 20 minutes at Cbus Super Stadium would be a memorable experience for her.
