In a closely contested Jersey Flegg match at Collegians, the Dragons triumphed over Manly with a score of 20-14, largely thanks to a hat-trick from Charlie Heidke.
The Sea Eagles took an early lead when winger Aymn Hamilton executed a somersault try after receiving a fifth-tackle cut-out.
Following a penalty, Manly maintained their momentum, but a pivotal one-on-one strip by Heidke shifted possession back to the Dragons.
As they sought to respond, the Dragons nearly scored after an attacking scrum; however, a flick pass from Heidke fell to the ground.
Lyric Craft-Te Moananui also attempted a try from dummy half but was denied in a close play.
The match took a toll on Manly, who lost five-eighth Callum Dowell to a HIA just a quarter into the game.
