Confirmed Lineup: Healey to Make Debut Against Cowboys

The NZ Warriors have confirmed that hooker Sam Healey will debut in today's Magic Round match against the North Queensland Cowboys at Suncorp Stadium.

Kick-off is at 5:30 PM local time (7:30 PM NZT).

The 22-year-old Healey has been called onto the interchange bench, replacing Te Maire Martin, who is now the 18th man, while Tanner Stowers-Smith is designated as the 19th man.

Healey will become Warrior #291 and follows in the footsteps of his father, Mitch Healey, who made 222 first-grade appearances for Cronulla Sutherland from 1989 to 2000, along with 76 games for Castleford in the Super League.

Having come through the Cronulla Sutherland pathways, Healey did not debut in the NRL before joining the Warriors this season.

His inclusion necessitates a reorganization of the team, with experienced player Adam Pompey moving back to the centres and Edward Kosi coming in to the left wing.

Additionally, halfback Tanah Boyd and second-rower Eddie Ieremia-Toeava have been omitted from the extended squad as of the 24-hour deadline.
