In a move that has solidified their team for the long haul, the Storm have secured the services of skipper Harry Grant until 2026, adding to the strength of their spine alongside Cameron Munster and Jahrome Hughes.

With these key players locked in, the focus now shifts to re-signing fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen, whose contract expires in 2025.

Grant, who took over the captaincy this season, has proven himself as a top-notch hooker, winning his second Dally M Hooker of the Year Award and leading the Storm to claim the minor premiership.

Despite falling short in the grand final, Grant's leadership on and off the field has been instrumental in the team's success.

"It's been a ripper year for the club, and I reckon we've got a lot more in us for the next few seasons," Grant said.

"The decision to stay was a no-brainer, especially with the faith the club has shown in me as captain.

We've got a bunch of top blokes in the squad who lead by example, and the potential of the squad gets me pretty pumped."

With the Storm's premiership window wide open, securing Grant's commitment is a crucial step in maintaining their standing as a powerhouse in the league.

As they aim to bounce back from their grand final defeat, the team is gearing up for another shot at glory with their core spine locked in for the foreseeable future.
