The boys from the nib Newcastle Knights Junior Representative squads strapped on their boots and hit the road to the big smoke of Sydney for Round 2.
Over in the Laurie Daley Cup and Andrew Johns Cup competitions, the Newcastle-Maitland Region Knights lads kicked off their seasons with a bang.
In a nail-biting clash, the SG Ball side almost pulled off a miraculous comeback, falling just short by a mere two points to the North Sydney Bears down in Sydney on Saturday.
Despite a stellar performance by winger Aidan Gow, who managed to bag a sensational four tries, the Under 19's couldn't quite get over the line, suffering their second consecutive loss.
But fear not, Knights fans! There's plenty of footy left to be played and we know the boys will be ready to bounce back stronger than ever.
Onwards and upwards, lads!
