Welcome to the family: 'Hammer' commits to Samoa for 2026 World Cup

Dolphins star Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has officially declared his commitment to Toa Samoa, revealing his plans to play for Samoa in the 2026 Rugby League World Cup.

Although the 24-year-old will miss the 2025 Pacific Championships due to a knee injury, his decision to participate in next October's World Cup is a significant boost for the Samoan team.

Tabuai-Fidow joined the Toa Samoa squad and over 8000 enthusiastic fans during the Samoa Fan Day in Logan on Tuesday, where he made his announcement to proudly represent the nation.

'The Hammer' debuted for Samoa in the 2022 World Cup at the age of 21, playing on the wing against England. Unfortunately, he suffered a syndesmosis injury during that match and was unable to continue in the tournament.
